borla over/front pipe only?
 

leaving the rest of the exhaust stock. i just looking to pickup some sound and a little power on the cheap. has anyone done this? opinions?

catted or uncatted?

either way you will not find much power at all doing this. Tuned or un-tuned it might make a total of 1-3whp..

the borla pipe has no cat.

alright well you might almost be better off cutting off the stock cat and welding a pipe there or even a higher flowing cat.

Your best option to increase power is going to be a header.. but if you're mostly looking for sound try a catback. There are exhausts such as the J2 engineering which I am running that you can get for about $300 and then a J2 front pipe that's another $100.

All depends on your budget though

only exhaust component that will increase power on this platform is a decent header with a tune.

You can go a catted header which may increase some power with some sound increase as well.
