SGPhoto Video Series - THE BURZ

As many of you know, I enjoy photography quite a bit. What you may not know is that I have been doing various forms of video editing for the last 16 years or so. That said, it's been a goal of mine for a long time to actually produce and film my own content.

This is a project I started last year and have only recently been able to finally "finish". The idea came about as I was looking at the 86Drive website and reading some of the featured car pages. I wanted to take that idea and apply it to video. A bit more simplified of course.

If you would, please take a look:

If you would like to know more about what I've done with my car, please check out my "build" page: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55680

I want to make more of these so I'd like to use this time to ask if any of you would like to do be involved? Interviews take about 20-30 minutes and other filming/audio capture can be done the same day (meet, drive, trackday, etc). If you are interested please let me know.

Exhaust sounds good, did I detect a UEL rumble?

Cool vid, I wouldn't mind having one made since I'm sure it'll be better than the vid I made. lol.

For the handheld shots (like the exhaust and side marker), might want to use a steady-cam rig of some sort to get a smoother shot. Or if you have a computer that's capable (cuz I know mine isn't, lmao), video stabilization in post processing.

Nice job Scott. We may have to talk.

I shot (mostly) everything at 1080p but worked at 720p. I could've done tripod but opted for the "hand held" look to see how I liked it. I actually did shoot the side markers and exhaust on a tripod at first, late last year. I was doing some test shots and playing around with Cinestyle. They were a little too blown out so I decided not to use those ones.

Unfortunately I didn't take into consideration that I may have wanted to stabilize in post so my framing on all those shots were too close. Stabilizing in post would bring everything a bit closer and I wasn't comfortable with that.

That said, I did stabilize almost everything I shot with the GoPro since that was done at 4k (except for the mounted shots while driving). My computer is still a beast for being 7 years old :)

But yea... learning experience lol.

I have nothing for video except a tripod. le sigh

My laptop can't even post process video stabilization. So I can't do anything handheld, or have super smooth videos.

Any other videos you've made?
