i can't type japanese on this computer.. my family is doing fine as they are all in tokyo which didn't get hit hard. i've got a friend from college in sendai, he's doing well but very busy with relief efforts.

Two of my family members haven't returned my calls. :/ and several of my friends as well.

Last I heard from them they were in Tokyo or Chiba. :/ Now not a word.

if they are in tokyo or chiba they should be ok.. however communication is hectic as there are rolling blackouts and cell phone reception and internet goes in and out. my relatives have contacted my family in the US but we have not been able to contact them from our side. we can only receive their communication. hopefully your family will contact you soon.
