Verus Engineering Billet Clutch Fork and Pivot
Is anyone interested in a billet clutch fork? I talked with @VeloxEric and he said it's something they can look into doing research on if there was enough (around 10+ people) interest in something like that. I wanted to create a thread to see if anyone would like to get one if they made something like this. I have seen a few instances where stiffer clutches, mainly the twin plates have broken the clutch fork. I have a few people in mind that would be interested in grabbing one if they are created @pleong, and if you have any interest in one please comment below or ask questions.
EDIT: Go to Page 4 post 47 for the clutch fork ordering Go to Page 6 post 72 for the clutch fork pivot ordering |
spoke to eric today, he needs 10 interested people in order to get the R&D and manufacturing going.

FINALLY!!!!! I'm glad to see something is done bout this. Not only twin plate clutch, but when you're upgrading the clutch, I highly recommend getting stronger clutch fork instead of POS oem clutch fork. In the long run, it's better to have it (I've snapped these fork into 3 pieces before). I've talk with few vendors here, but they haven't say much and gave up... but good to hear Velox is doing something bout it.
It's all depends on price, but I might be interested. |
+1 Interested - Love Velox parts. Killing the budget.

Well there is 4 right there, 6 more and we can see if Velox will grace us with some R&D on this piece!

Hey guys, I saw the thread and already got to work on this. I contacted Kar and Design Craft. Design Craft is NOT interested in making these, do not contact him, he will not respond.

Planning on doing 25 units for the first run with a price well under $200. Just have to make sure she fits and will work. Below is a stress analysis with a 1000 lb pressure plate. http://i.imgur.com/jfApZNd.png http://i.imgur.com/Q0F60Xf.png Safe to say we're in the green, pun intended, as far as stress is concerned. We're planning on using 4140 chromoly, should handle the abuse well. |

Old pic, but found the pic of broken fork. It's kinda hard to see, but old fork broke into 3 pieces from where the circular dip/bump is. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...97e237d96b.jpg |
@VeloxEric you guys are the best! Thank you!

Alright, 3D printed prototype proves fitment. Few small changes to make it even nicer and it's ready to be made. Discussing with machine shops now to try and bring you guys the best price.
