Does anyone have 9inch wide on NA?

If so, how is the drive?

I'm looking at either 17x9 or 18x9. I want the width for when I FI/swap, but that will be at least a year or 2 away.

got 17x9 rpf1 on 245/40/17 rs3. other than mpg being a bit worse, everything else is better. no more tire screeching from the primacys

I'm getting the RS3s too :). But prob 235/40/18

I got 17x9 and I only have a exhaust and intake. I can stlll get them to screech if Im really pushing it, but its a big step from 7 inches the rear

My street set is 18" 8.5/9.5

I wouldn't recommend it except for looks. But I don't regret it enough to spend $ on 17" square set with less width. Though I browse wheels for sale everyday looking haha

If I had FI I think it would be an acceptable street setup.

17x9 on 245/40 on NA power here. it drives better imho than stock wheels on primacys. the key is getting lighter wheels to accommodate for the increase in weight of the added tire size. I am only running about 1lb per corner more than stock wheel/tires. so it feels the same acceleration wise as stock but you are adding more contact patch grip and wider footprint. so quite a bit more grip for when you need it.

I think the ideal size is really 17x8.5 for these cars but very few wheel manufacturers make that size and the ideal offset which should be in the 25-35 range.

Even with sticky 255's I can get spin... Not wanting that usually. 17x9+35 255/40/17 RE71-R

For AutoX this works. For road trips I run 17x8 and 225/45/17 PSS.

17s will be more functional with NA. 18s are a lot of extra weight for NA, but if you're FI it won't matter too much.

Depends what you buy. My track wheels are 18x9" and are 7.1kg each

I went 18" as my street wheels are 18" so the height and fender gap are set to how I like it to look with 18" wheels.

I like my car to still look its best when on track :-)

I have 17x9 on mine. 245 in front 265 in the back.
