Buyer Beware Flossy Shop (shift knobs)

So start off I loved their product at least from the pictures of other members. They seemed to be of good quality and reasonable price. I went to their website and placed an order for a red heavyweight customized shift know. Moments after payment I was in contact with them in regards with what i wanted for my customization. I let them know what i wanted and was told it would take around 14 business days or sooner to be completed AND shipped.
I placed the order on March 22nd.

Come April 8th i sent an email just curious as the status of the shift knob. I received an replay back on April 11th saying that they would be done with it the following day. The following day comes and nothing, no update, no tracking number, just nothing.

Come April 16th i sent another email asking for a tracking number for when the shift knob is completed, still nothing. Come April 18th I send an email stating that it had been well over the 14 business days and still had no word on the shift knob and would want a refund if i did not hear back from them or give me some sort of update,

Come April 19th and i lose all patience and file a PayPal case to receive my money back. Flossy gets back to paypal almost instantly and they send me an email that they would refund me my money due to the fact it was taking much longer to complete it.

I send them an email stating that I did not mind the wait ( which i really don't, i can say without being melodramatic that I'm one of the most patient people around) that i was disappointed in the fact that i had no updates from them or any reply whatsoever. I would not have minded waiting even longer as long as i had some sort of update, especially after it had been stated that they would take around 14 business day. I received a reply staing " sure, i completely understand and i thank you for your candor". I'm not a fool to know that they do not care about their customer service and lack in that department.

Those who plan on buying knobs from them, beware, they are not a company worth your money.

I had the opposite experience with them. Great communication with fast process time and shipping on a custom order shift knob

Hit and miss, and I'm happy you had a great experience. But for them to be hit and miss with this customer service and not be consistent shows they need to focus on some things when it comes to run a proper business, its Business 101 ya know?

+1 for not throwing them under the bus(and pegging them as the worst company ever, like some people on here tend to do) but only highlighting point where they can improve

Same here, on two completely seperate orders at completely different times. I would definitely recommend them.

There are many posts on here about them from people with negative experiences (myself included). Some people have great experiences while others have really horrible experiences. I would advise to avoid, but if you're ok with hit and miss service, then give it a shot.

This is true. Your only as good as your last deal as far I'm concerned

I had a similar experience a year or two ago. They ignored emails for months until I asked Paypal to reject the sale at which point they responded immediately. They were still useless at that point, the knob randomly showed up 2 months later after I'd long received my money back. Not sure how they're in business.

A lot of people have had problems with Flossy over at IWSTI: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/review-s...eview-28.html?

I can't believe the company is still in business. Thanks for sharing your experience on this forum and spreading the word.

As an outside observer it seems most of the time Flossy has issues is when it involves a custom engraving
