Exterior lens from BRZ and FRS interchangeable?
 

Does anyone know if the outside lens on the BRZ and FRS are interchangeable? I need to replace them on the brz headlights but need to make sure they are the same shape. I am not sure if they are due to the oem boomerang.

Even tho the headlights 100% fit both cars? That's odd

Headlight works as a unit. Reflector/lense/light source, their properties and relative spatial placement work together to produce specific shape and strength light beam as per specs and legal requirements. Mixing parts of "similar" units instead of replacing whole unit imho is asking for potential problems, even if parts from one's headlights mechanically fits and could be mounted in other's. Resulting light beam might be within specs, or might be not, i wouldn't want to experiment and be told at MOT to fix lights and repurchasing stock lens back.

Reason I asked this I was able to score a BRZ headlight loaded on ebay for next to nothing shipped to me. I bought one that has some very small scratches I could sand out but other lights on there have broken exterior housing lens.
I m just guessing they would be the same do to the same mounting position.

I want to part my FRS lights out and use the exterior lens, I will know for sure in a couple days when I receive one headlight. Now I am on the hunt for another, for 80 bucks its worth a try, I am a experienced retrofitter as well so that helps :)
