Tow hooks

Hey guys so I just got a tow hook, I used the stock bumper and used the front hole that it already gives you for a license plate/tow hook, only it looks odd. I have it put in but i feel like the hole for it is kinda big and on top of that you can see through to the styrofoam 5 mph bumper behind the bumper and I feel like insects and water is gonna get in and back there is there another piece that should be used that is like the stock hole cover but has a hole big enough for just the metal rod to go through? Thanks guys appreciate the answers ahead of time.

Drill a hole in the stock hole cover that is just slightly larger than the new license plate holder post. Be careful with your fingers.

It seems the picture links are all dead in that DIY.... but to OP, I've had the whole peice removed for my front tow hook for a while now and have had no problems with the elements or insects. I also swap it in and out and replace the cover, so I didn't want to cut a hole in the cover. You could always get a spare I guess. Anyways, it's just an aesthetics thing and I drgaf. However, if you want I can scan a copy of the instructions from Raceseng for the tow hook cover mod and send to you if you want to see another take on this

Ok, instructions aren't in my car atm I just found out. I will post up when I get home from work in a few hours if it isn't already available on their website
