Hello everyone. I've been lurking the forums for quite some time now. Now i decided to start my own build thread.
Welcome:thumbsup: I bought the car April of 2015. I love the car to death but i had buyers remorse as i got an automatic. Should've went manual. Interesting to see a turbo'd automatic twin. Should have traded it in for the manual :p

Subbed

Thank you for serving our country🇺🇸👍🏽👍🏽 build looks like it's gonna be 🔥🔥🔥

Looks good, frankly no shame in getting the automatic and I'm a big die hard manual guy myself I've been more than pleased by how our AT performed.

Not a huge fan of autos, but at least it's not a CVT. Look forward to the install.

Well, I am also a manual guy, but I think there is nothing wrong in going for auto then manual. It has its own advantages. Also, it depends on the situation whether to go for auto or manual. The post on this site very greatly states the importance of both auto and manual according to the need of the situation.

After a year i decided to add more power. I was torn between SBD or JRSC. As reliable and as easy JRSC is i decided to jump in both feet and ended up going with SBD (Turbo Spool FTW:thumbsup:). I am new to FI and never owned a turbo nor supercharged car before.
While i was deployed i started ordering parts. I came home to this. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pslrpdwdbx.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psqknf5icz.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pszegl0w8e.jpg Christmas again! Ft86speedfactory packaging:sigh: http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pszios3tw8.jpg Kit will be installing some time next week. I decided to get my pipes powder coated and my down pipe and manifold ceramic coated. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psiqmsay4y.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psesw8cgxk.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psczmjnvfc.jpg I was kind of busy but now have the time to update my thread... Engine bay shot before the surgery. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pssnma7szv.jpg Install took me 2 days. Had some few quirks but it ended up perfectly installed. First day we took off the bumper, drained oil, replaced oil pan, installed manifold, and mounted the turbo. Found out the banjo bolt for the oil line on the turbo wasnt the right thread pitch. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...swfejibsg.jpeg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...swrtrc1vb.jpeg We had to do a parts run but it was late at night so we decided to call it a day. Here's where we ended up. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psige1tedo.jpg |
Second day we started around 12 but did a parts run so ended up working on the car around 2. All we had to do was connect the oil lines, piping, install flex fuel kit, fuel pump, boost control soleniod and drift armor bar and reinstall the bumper.
I was expecting the fuel pump to be a pain in the butt but everything was actually easy except for taking out the canister from the car.The black stuff gets everywhere......http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pswkjvthmc.jpghttp://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psi6bdt0ls.jpg Wish i had more photos but was trying to finish up. Dont have the install of the flex fuel kit but Delicious Tuning FF Kit is awesome. True plug and play with all the tools needed. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0ghlgets.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psbb8idt1k.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6wujqf07.jpg |
I got it tuned at GoodSpeed Performance by Marin.
Low Reading Dyno. And running just E60 as mistake on my side. Also had a problem with Ecutek as it had bugs and caused him not to be able to tune my boost controller solenoid yet. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psphe4aff6.jpg Got back and installed my gauges. Not happy about the install. I think it was harder than the turbos. And pillar pod was popping out. Can't really see in this photo but this is how it was. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...psq8eowt5l.jpg |
Got my pillar pod replaced with this awesome Block8head defroster gauge pod
Way more better quality! Not some cheap plastic. In the end it cost me about the same cause the rexpeed was cheaper but had to pay for shipping. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pspqma8via.jpg Also got my new custom plates! http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/...pshm5aaicj.jpg |
