ATC steering wheel
I installed ATC steering wheel today and figured I'll post few pictures, since all the vendor pics are small and the descriptions lacking.
The main reason I got this: 20mm offset on the steering wheel, meaning it's that much closer to you. It is also smaller in diameter by a tiny amount. I believe some sites list it as 345x350mm vs. the 360mm stock. Quality is very good, all the parts that you reuse from the stock steering wheel fit perfectly. The airbag itself is also centered correctly now. The stock wheel had uneven gaps between the steering wheel and airbag. The fit on the shaft seems little tighter than stock, since I couldn't get it off for repositioning without the steering wheel puller. The stock wheel came off with just pulling by hands. Overall, I'm very happy with it. I've got the best seating position I've ever had in any car, with plenty of leg room and hands not stretched out. And it retains the airbag . http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/...psqyp4cnsl.jpg http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/...psuymm1mrb.jpg http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4622okqk.jpg http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/...psikuvft25.jpg |
Sounds like the perfect wheel. I've always thought steering wheels didn't telescope enough to be as close to my chest as I would like. Looks nice, too.
