Good Driving Roads in Houston

I live North of Houston, outside of the Woodlands, and I don't know any roads with good scenery and curves to drive on. Do any of you guys know of good routes to take that are somewhat near my area? Preferably no more than an hour or so away.
Thanks!

Any of the roads going through Sam Houston National Forest out towards Coldspring and Lake Livingston. There are many routes you can take from I45 between Conroe and Willis. I like 1484 and 3081. Don't miss out on 224 on the west side of the lake. Sometimes you get slow moving farm trucks and travel trailers. Go out early in the morning. Roll down the windows and enjoy the weather before it gets hot!

This might be a good question to ask in the SouthWest Regional sub-forum
