Bridgestone S04 to Hankook EVO2

I've been running a set of Bridgestone S04's 265-35-18 for a while now and let me tell you, these are awesome street tires, right up there with the PSS. Great in dry, wet and surprising even cold weather below 40 degrees. The time finally came to replace them and if budget wasn't an issue, I would be getting a new set of S04's or PSS but at 200.00 or so a piece, I needed to look elsewhere. After researching several tires, sizes and what not, I saw a great deal on a set of Hankook V12 Evo2 (255-35-18) and pull the trigger. Seems to have good reviews and at $458 after rebate for the set, I couldn't pass them up.

S04's:
These are very quiet and provides great traction even with about 4/32 thread remaining and much less in the inner sections due to camber. I push this car fairly heavy in corners  (on occasions), tires remains solid with enough grip and not once did I feel out of control. Tires are a bit on the heavy side (29lbs each) but overall a great tire, highly recommended!

Hankook V12 Evo2's:
Had these recently installed replacing the S04's and even with 255's, the thread width was about 1" small (S04 = 9.7" ; Evo2 = 8.7") than the S04's and much lighter, at 22lbs each. You can definitely feel the weight difference when driving. Much lighter steering feel, which I really like. You really do notice the softer sidewalls and the overall grip is not on par with the S04's but this was expected. With more seat time, I hope to enjoy these tires a bit more. Time will tell but so far so good. A good set of replacement tires for the price.
