FA prime coilover reviews

Finally...I have installed the PRIME coilover. $950 for a quality coilover, what can i say?
I installed at AutoRnD which located at fremont with great price.
$500 to install coilover and alignment. The owner Rishie is a very nice guy.

I dropped 1.3in and using 225/45/17 MPSS. The car runs great, and the handling/grip is amazing. I can turn the car wherever i want. I might going to lower the car little bit more and more negative camber in the future.

lol...too expensive?!?!!?!?

Lol... Coil installs should be $350 max.. That's what I'm used to coming from german cars and these look 10x easier based on some DIY's I've seen. If it takes them 5 hours to do a coil swap with a lift and air tools, they shouldn't be doing it in the first place. Otherwise you're getting absolutely killed w/ labor rates.

FWIW, you can probably find someone who is completely qualified to do it for $150 on these forums.

ALSO. you shouldn't even be doing an alignment until the coils settle. How did no one catch that? You'll just need another one in 1-2k miles once they break in

Well, i think 500 is a reasonable price. for install and alignment. Its the cheapest i quote around my area. I didnt find him out of nothing.

You are right,,i need to wait for the coilover to be settle. But because its related to safety concern. Even my neighbor who works at toyota tell me i must do a alignment if any geometry change on the car.

I quote a few shop near my area:
AutoRnD: $500 install + alignment
4b auto: $780 install only
theoneauto: $480 install only
Yip's auto:$500 install only
Fremont auto: $780 install + alignment

I didnt say the one i went its the best. It is a suggestion for those who want a cheap but great quality service for upgrading suspension. If you find a better place go ahead lol.

Rishi is legit no doubt. And with those before toe specs I would get an alignment too :confused0068:

Can you update us on how these have been? I'm in the market for either coilovers or sport lowering springs. Just wondering how these are, since these are on my research list for possible choices.

Holy shit! Those install quotes are insane!

KalbiCool88 12-22-2016 09:26 PM

Those rates are not unheard of. Look at where he lives. I mean, where we live....

:[

There's probably other places that would charge less, but if he's satisfied with the service the shop he took it to then great.

The Racer's Line does Coils for 270$ only install. But i also get free alignments for life at Wheel Works in Livermore (right where i live) for one easy payment of 150$. so overall i spent 420$ for install and alignment.

So yeah i'd say 500$ for both is an incredibly fair price.

that would be a mistake, most likely his tires would wear down pretty bad by the time he drives 1k miles.

You over-payed, I would have done them for $499.99 and a smile.
