Transmission Fluid

Hey guys.

So since my car is still shifting really hard at times and even feeling like it's yanking me backwards at times, I figure a start would be swapping the transmission fluid. I drive an AT so the manual suggests 60k miles (I have 32.5k) although I've read here that people change theirs much earlier.

I asked the dealer about it last visit and they basically recommended me not to because of what the manual says. Should I push for it anyways?

How many miles on your car .. ??

I doubt a transmission fluid change would help any.

I'd suggest you focus on that electronic thing that is controlling the transmission.

If it's yanking you back wards you might want to let a dealer mechanic drive with you or let him drive it.

I have, but it seems that TCM logic is for a 2015. I figure the dealer would give me flack if I asked for it in my 13.

Well, you might consider bringing the TSB to the attention of the service manager.

Your transmission shouldn't be yanking you around like that.....:mad0260:

(we didn't have AT problems like that, back-in-the-day ....... when ATs had "bands" and only 2 speeds ...... ;))

Definitely want to make an appointment with the dealer to have that looked at. Even fluid condition wouldn't cause (or fix) what you're describing

I'll bring it with me and ask them, hopefully they do something. I have an appointment on the 20th and I'll be bringing up the concern.
