Dirt Rally

Who here has (or is planning on getting) Dirt Rally for any platform?

I have been a fan of the DiRT series since the first installation (except for DiRT Showdown) and I have to say that I am beyond obsessed with Dirt Rally. They trimmed the game back down to its nitty gritty essentials for a simulator-like rally experience, and I have to say that they pulled it off well.

I have it for the Xbox One and just ordered a Playseat mounting rig and a Logitech G920 wheel with pedals to make it even more fun.

Some of the gravel roads I used to race around on could be called rally racing lol.

I really enjoyed Dirt 3, so at some point I may pick this one up.

It does not have any of the Gymkhana or trucks that the previous DiRT games had, but that is why I like it. Dirt Rally is a simple, down-to-Earth, straightforward rally simulator with rallycross. I really enjoy it.

Ah, good, because I didn't like the Gymkhana or Truck events. I just like the straight up rally races around dirty bends. I think my favorite map was the Finland map.

Yes I did love the Finland courses. So far, Germany is probably my favorite in Dirt Rally. These courses are much more difficult than in previous games, but I'm one who likes games that take three or four tries just to make progress in.

I might for Xbox.

I really recommend it.

It's a lot of fun with a controller so far but I'm looking forward to trying Dirt Rally and Forza 6. Here are photos of the setup I mentioned above:

I really want that.

Already got Forza 6. It's realistic to the point that I do want a wheel and pedals. Wouldn't have with Forza 4.

My problem is that wheels that don't give pressure feedback are 100% unrealistic.

I have the G920 for my Xbox and am loving Dirt Rally so far. I found the Force Feedback to be much more enjoyable playing Project Cars than Forza. Forza is a fantastic game, but it does not play well with a wheel IMO. I haven't found good FFB settings for Dirt Rally yet, but it's decent out of the box.

That's great to hear. I am really excited to try it out!

My seat and wheel came in today. Of course, there is a bit of a learning curve after using a controller in racing games for many years, but so far I absolutely love this setup!

What did you do about the stiff brake pedal? I just threw the brake dead zone down to 0% and the saturation down to about 25%.
