200whp without e85?
---------------
|
You could probably get in the low 190s with full bolt-ons and a custom tune.
|
I know this isn't going to exactly address the question, but I don't think there is a way to get a realistic tune that also has a peak of 200WHP. Dyno queen style stacks are regarded as the types of build you wouldn't wanna street.
That is a subjective statement but certain aspects of the tune would have to be sacrificed to hit that benchmark with little to work with |
My plan is header, tune, change final drive and stop there as it's too much money just to squeeze a few more HP to get the magical 200+ mark if not going the FI route.
|
My buddy hit 200 WHP on Nameless headers with a custom dyno tune. It's doable with the right header and the right tuner. 190ish is an easier goal.

With enough detail changes you can squeeze more power out. Like going for a proper CAI and front snorkel to feed more air in than a simple panel filter swap. Also researching exhaust combinations for best proven gains along with the header. With a custom tune some Crawford power blocks would also eek out a little more power. I wouldn't get all hung up on a pretty number that looks cool on paper. A simple FD upgrade on its own is worth a good .5 to 1 sec improvement 0-100kph depending on the ratio. I'd care more about how the car feels when driven then some number. Moog (from Mighty Car Mods) raised a great point when doing his Mini build and not wanting to see the final Dyno number. He's reasoning was that people will get all hung up on a number and just pigeon hole a car as that number. A simple number can change a persons perspective when in the end it's the overall feel and change in character to the car that is actually far more important than some arbitrary number. Would you look at someone else's car that Dyno's at 200+ and think your car, that can only manage 195, is now vastly inferior? Not meaning to come across as an ass. I suppose I should really be asking why 200 is important to you? :) |
butt dyno is all that matters.
|
Reduce weight. Can get rid of ac and 1/3 interior
|
Every dyno is different...so 200 could be impossible depending on the dyno, especially one that baselines at 140whp stock.
I'm at 195whp, stock is 160whp. Overpipe, front pipe, headers, catback, and ecutek tune. 93oct |
You can do a different tune. Not that many 85 stations here either. There maybe 3 in my area, a pretty expansive area. Be a hassle driving around to get gas so I wouldn't do the 85 tune.

i know someone with 221 hp
