For all the TOMEI EL owners

Recently, I have gotten myself a set of Tomei EL header which have yet to be tuned. In the near future, I am going to acquire a tune which hopefully can unleash the true potential of the header on this platform.

It will be much appreciated if the owners of the TOMEI EL header state out the your spec and dyno numbers with a dyno chart (if possible, it will will be nice) as I can have a heads up on what kind of numbers I should be expecting after the tune.

Cheers

Too many random factors...temp/humidity/dyno type, etc.

180-195WHP is what I would expect.

Narrow the other items down and we can help out more. Either way, the missing torque dip will just FEEL a lot better.

Do u run a tomei EL yourself??
In terms of the dip, do u mean by eliminating or narrowing?

I have the Tomei UEL and Overpipe, along with the Open Flash Tuner. I haven't had my car on the dynamometer, but I can say from driving feel, that after 8k miles with the torque dip, I am about 8k miles with my mods and it made a huge difference. I would guess the torque dip is 90-95% gone.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31555

Here is a dyno sheet to look at:
Nameless EL LT header + Nameless OP/DP combo + Nameless 3" exhuast + 93oct. tune

Tons of variables. Fuel, other mods on the car, temps, humidity, etc.

For what it is worth, here is my result:

If you don't mind me asking, what tune are you running as well as power mods?

Full exhaust, ECUTEK tuned via PTuning in Manassas VA. 93 Pump gas. No e85 tricks.

Do u also have a base line by any chance?

Not my car, but a 100% stock FRS on the same shop and dyno.

Thanks! To be fair, I would consider it a near-average for PTuning. They make their own header that makes 207whp and ~ 170trq on their dyno.

So I left some power on the table. But, I hit the sweet-spot in terms of pricing in my opinion.

TLDR: Tomei header is great. Torque dip still exists. There are better (and more expensive) options.

You have the awesome advantage of having the custom dyno tune, they dial in things much more than an OTS tune
