What did you guys pay?

Was wondering what you guys paid? MSRP? I recently bought a 2016 Tacoma but it's just not my thing. It's was too hard on gas. I was wondering if it's worth trading it in?

Thanks!

$30,000.00 out the door with tints and wheel locks.
gas prices in the last month, $22.75 to fill up my tank, Chevron Supreme.

A bit under MSRP but not much. They have you by the balls here since there are no other dealers. If you're buying this thing as a DD and for fuel economy and commute with traffic in the morning, good luck with that. I was getting 22mpg before supercharging and 20mpg after. The people that aren't sitting in traffic all day do significantly better, more like 28-30. Oh also, the gas tank is like this big:

I'm getting 18MPG on the Tacoma & about $45 every 5 days on gas. Waipahu > Kahala commute. Wasn't the brightest idea to buy a Tacoma.

You made a mistake on Tacoma?

You sure you not gonna make mistake on this car?

Huge difference in vehicle.

I take Farrington and Kam to PH in the morning, for reference. The other thing is these require premium.

Don't get me wrong, I obviously love the 86, I just want you to be happy with whatever choice you make.

I don't know if you own V6 or I4, RWD or 4x4, or MT or AT.
But let's say you have V6 RWD AT, it's rated 19/24, and you average 18.
If you get FR-S MT, it's rated 22/30, and you probably average 20 or 21.
Let's say it's 21 to make it better.
Your MPG will be 17% better.
You will be spending $38.50 every 5 days instead.
But, premium gas costs about 8% more.
So, you will be spending $41.50 every 5 days.
Which means, you will be saving $3.5 of gas cost every 5 days.
That's $21 a month.
Not sure how much more the insurance will cost, but let's say it will be $10 more a month.
Then you will be saving $10 a month by switch the car.
You will probably lose $5k or so by getting rid of your truck so soon.
It will take over 40 years to gain back your loss from the saving by switching car.

His commute is much farther than your Farrington Hwy to Kam Hwy to Pearl Harbor.

Life is short.......if you think you made a mistake with buying the truck and dont' care about the loss of $$$ then buy the 86.
