'14 SWP BRZ. My ultimate Daily

Purchased the car in summer of '14 and finally making my build thread. This was a slow process. I wanted to enjoy the car for what it was and change things I felt needed upgrading as I went along.

Here she was the day I brought her home in all her stock glory.

About 6 months in it was time to finally get tinted and for those ugly chrome tail lights to go.

I went with TOMS because I felt this is how the car should of come stock and liked how the rear boomerang matched the front. Plus clean and simple never goes out of style.

Next up was the stereo. Initially I felt the OEM one was fine, but as time went on I noticed the flaws. This car has very little sound deadening and at highway speeds you really have to crank up the radio. This is where the rattles and pops from the speakers begins. I ended up going with the OEM Audio Plus Reference system. Expensive? Yes. Could I of pieced something together for cheaper? Maybe. I wanted something I could install myself, had great sound (not just overwhelming bass), was specifically designed for my car, and still left me with a useable trunk.

The System came with new tweeters, door speakers, 8in Sub with housing (amp is inside the housing), and all the wiring I needed all perfectly trimmed and ready to install.

Installed in about 8hrs start to finish using their YouTube install video. This was my first attempt at anything like this. I have never done any sort of audio install before, never even changed a head unit. Everything went smooth.

Looks like it came from the factory. And the sound is AMAZING. Perfectly balanced. Just enough bass to feel it in your chest (I chose the "Robust" option) but not too much to overwhelm the balance of the system. The mid's and high's are out of this world. If your on the fence about spending the money on this system I highly suggest finding someone with one and just give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.

Next step was to fill out those exhaust cut outs a little better. I went with the Perrin 2.5 Resonated. I went with perrin because it was one of the more quiet exhausts and was planning to get a catless UEL header in the future.

Overall impression, its not really loud but deep. Almost sounds like subwoofers when you start the car. Very impressed. No rasp or drone at all. Almost sounds stock like in the upper RPM's but much deeper in the low RPM's.

Wheels, suspension, and header install pics/vids to come......Just ran out of time at the moment.
