Yeah I got used to them not being there pretty quick.

phone calls:
Bluetooth headset connected to your phone.

Stereo controls:
once you get used to the location of the buttons (unless they're tiny) you can just quickly glance over and press the button.

Its not like you have to lean over to the very opposite side of the head unit to reach a button or knob.....

This looks pretty cool. Where did it come from though? preproduction?

Having written that, I wouldn't object to a "voice command" wheel button that'd also pause/resume and answer/mute/un-mute (hold to hangup).

I don't mind using the screen to change songs, but the volume is frustrating to me. I have an OCD thing about volume needing to be in increments of 5 (it's weird, I know) and the volume bar is on the bottom of the screen which means when I adjust it I can't see the volume bar because my arm blocks my view. The only thing I would change would be to have the volume bar on the top of the screen instead of the bottom - but I'm aware that's a pretty trivial thing.

Wish it had it, not a deal breaker though as I don't flip through songs/ change volume all that often.

for 28k this should be included in the car.

That's why it is over priced.

Wonder what word would fit Ferrari's who don't have them since "overpriced" is too small of a word for them

Actually, for RHD cars we do have to reach across. It's terrible usability and completely inappropriate for a car that costs over 42k to drive away.

So, I'm watching this thread.

we've had this discussion a few times on this and other forums...get ready for the BS of "this is a sports-car" you don't need 'em argument, or the other one that cracks me up...buttons make it hard to drive aggressively...both are silly and assinine.
It is 2012...it should have them...clearly a "ran out of time" or dev budget shortfall...either way...can almost guarantee that they'll be on a future model...
it didn't stop me from buying and enjoying the car but aggravates me EVERY time I need to fiddle with the touch screen...and think how unsafe it is to be doing that instead of simple buttons on the wheel...IMHO ;)

Steering wheel controls... What else do you want a backup camera?
