I SAW PICS OF THE 2017 TOYOTA 86.
I LIKE THE LIGHTS BUT NOT THE CHIN TREATMENT. REAR LOOKS GOOD BUT THT BULGE IN THE NEW FRONT BUMPER MAY TAKE GETTING USED TO.

OMG THE REFRESH IS SO UGLY ITS LIKE THE WORST FUCKING THING EVER IMAGINE IF HITLER AND TRUMP HAD A BABY THATS WHAT THE REFRESH LOOKS LIKE IF YOU LIKE IT THEN YOUR PROBABLY A DUMB STUPID HEAD I LIKE THE WHEELS AND THE LIGHTS BUT THE BUMPER SUCKS SO MUCH I COULD TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT THE WHITE STITCHING OTHER THAN THAT ITS THE WORST AND I HATE YOU IF YOU LIKE IT BECAUSE THE MUSTACHE IS OUT OF PLACE ON A TOYOTA THAT SHIT IS FOR THE SUBARU CROWD THEYRE ALL HIPSTERS AND THEY DONT REALIZE THAT THE 2017 BRZ DOESNT HAVE THE SAME PERFORMANCE INCREASE BECAUSE THE TOYOTA HAS A TURBO NOT THE SUBARU IT HAS AWD INSTEAD OVERALL THIS REFRESH IS TERRIBLE AND YOURE BASICALLY STALIN IF YOU LIKE IT

I couldn't agree more! That bumper looks so fucking bad I would never trade in my legendary 1st GEN hackiroko! It's going to be worth so much and is soooo much better. Everyone on here saying they like the new 86 is lying yo. It's the ugliest fucking car I have ever seen and it has buttons on the steering wheel which completely takes the soul out of the 86 and away all the feelz...

While I agree with you, Toyota is in the business of selling cars and twin sales have been declining.
It looks like they saw what cosmetic changes owners were making (head lights and tail lights ) and applied it to the refresh. Its an attempt to increase sales but, I would not be surprised if this was the only refresh the 86 platform sees.
