Replacing side markers
 

Hey guys, so I'm wondering if it's legal to replace the yellow side markers into a white/clear one. Has anybody in Toronto/GTA/Markham done this and if so, do cops give you shit for it?

You can change to a clear side marker, but you need an amber bulb

Im assuming the stock bulb is amber?

I believe so. Worst case, amber bulb are about 6 bucks a pair at Canadian Tire.

I'd recommend if you change out your side markers to go ahead and throw LED's in there... The side markers are a bitch to get off and on so might as well completely upgrade them so you don't have to touch them further!

I wouldn't think it would but I've never been in a lease so I'm not sure how crazy they'd be about something like this. It's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.

I can't see them refusing a lease return because you have better (LED) bulbs. They might complain about the clear housings, but might not.

I'm running the JDM subaru clear sidemarkers with clear bulbs... no issues with the cops.. as of yet. ahah

Same here. Clear side markers with an hid coloured led bulb. Never once pulled over for it.

I stand corrected, just looked in the OHTA, apparently for side markers, amber OR white bulbs are ok. Any other colour is a no go, though.

So I have the 2016 brz automatic, when I have my brakes on, for example at a red light, the RPM only falls to about 0.5, never 0 RPM. Is there a reason for this? Is this how it's supposed to be?

Why would the RPM hit 0? That would mean that the engine isn't running.

It's amber or green.
