Valenti Tail Lights - Visibility Issues?

Hey guys, I've been looking at getting some smoked Valentis, but I'm a bit hesitant after seeing some demo videos on Youtube.. It seems the daytime visibility isn't all that great?

Has anyone encountered any issues with visibility or had cops give them a hard time? :iono: Thanks!

Daytime visibility? You're not going to notice many tail lights flare up during days of sunshine like those videos.

However, you should get the Revos instead

If you're worried about visibility avoid smoked tail lights like a bad habit because smoked taillights will attract police attention in some areas.

 but that's also almost $300-$400 more than the normal ones lol

I've seen both the clear/red and the red (I own the red), and they're both fine during the day. The turn signal/brake LEDs don't show up that well on video, since they're LEDs and don't scatter in the same way as an incandescent. They are very bright, though.

I thought the same and didn't think they would light up bright enough. Boy was I wrong, I was behind my friends FRS with the smoked ones and I easily saw them light up from a distance during the day.

Depends on the cops in your area and your own luck running into the right ones.
If makes you feels any better. Clean up the glass where your centre brake light is to compensate.

lol ugh yeah I know.. I would love to get the Revos. My heart says yes.. but my wallet cries no.

The smoke on the Revos actually looks more subtle and the turn signals look more clear. Plus with the new design there would be no issues with missing dots as people have had with the original Valentis.. But why so expensive?? :( maybe I'll save up a little longer :sigh:

You're fine. If anything, don't get these and get TOMS. I have the Valenti Clear Red and I've had zero problems.

What Jawn said is totally correct automotive LEDs are sort of directional and have a bit of a cutoff they are very bright from the correct angle. Just like how LED drls on some cars can't be seen. In fact I'm planning on getting the clear red soon.

Revos are probably more expensive because they're so new  Keep saving, by the time you have enough the price will have dropped a bit and some small fixes if there are any issues will have come out.
