Removing silicone from vinyl
Besides using the 3m, DAP and McKanica caulking removers which may possibly hurt the vinyl wrap(haven't tried it yet), anybody have any ideas on this?
This is not lumps or a bead of silicone but rather a thin almost looking like "dirt splashed on" layer that ran down from driving it in the rain right after silicone was applied. |
You might consider trying some alcohol.

Just for closure. It was a regular degreaser "Mean Green cleaner degreaser" that was used and it came off.
This was so thin that probably anything could have been used with a little elbow grease that doesn't hurt/melt the vinyl. There is literally zero information on the internet for this. Now it's in here to direct more traffic in. |
