RED G2 BRAKE CALIPER PAINT??

So I was searching online for brake calipers for my car and came across caliper paint.
I don't have the money for new brake calipers yet and was wondering if there was a down side to just paint them?
Would it void my extended warranty?

Nope, go for it. Most definitely would not affect warranty or anything else

Thanks! Someone said something that the dealership would blame all brake problems on the paint...

Doubtful, never heard that before.

G2 Caliper paint, they have different colors. I would do something other than red - but that's just me. You got Whiteout i see?

Thanks for the help. Yeah, she all stock... That needs to change soon.

I like the red with most car colors. And the G2 won't void any warranty. It's just paint after all. Be sure to tape up everything you don't want to get paint on. And keep some Acetone (Nail polish remover) handy for when you get some on something you didn't mean to. Once it cures, you won't be able to remove it. I also used some different brushes than the one that comes in the kit. But I could have done it all with the included one if I had no other option.

Don't paint the rotors!

Knowing is half the battle.

Big 4 and 6 pot calipers usually look fun in bright colors, but while the stock brakes are good enough for this car, I feel like a bright color would just highlight how small they are.

If only that was photoshopped. Poor rotors...

jedichimp 07-02-2012 05:08 PM

seriously, I feel bad for that car. NEVER paint drums. I mean the paint on th rotors will wear off but that's just the lazy way of doing it.

Gotta agree with the sentiment that bros don't let bros paint their dinky floating calipers bright racy colors! Only a step above painting drums bright colors.
