I plan on installing the c30 JR supercharger in the next month or so (Flex Fuel maybe) asides from the kit I will be running the JR Oil Cooler. Should I be running a transmission cooler as well in an attempt to best preserve the auto tranny? In other words what precautions should I take to make sure my tranny can handle the added power. I am hopping that a good tune for a modest 270-310whp wont put too much strain on the auto. Since the vast majority of boosted builds are on manuals I am having a hard time finding info about auto builds. Any comments or info wold be greatly appreciated. Also if there is another thread on the subject matter, sorry I couldn't find it, but would love a link to the thread if possible.

You can add in a cooler from Stark performance or the tranny cooler from SourhSidePerformance.

I don't have a cooler on mine but mine has been boosted for about 9K miles or so.

fteightysix ran quite a bit of power on his AT in Vegas heat so that would be a good person to ask.

I have one on mine. If you track your car, you need one. If you don't it won't matter too much. It would be a great precautionary measure to keep the tranny safe if you do it.

I got an oil cooler for the trany and it's working great, thing is that also have engine oil cooler, sc oil cooler and using the brake cooling duct, so I have to use imagination to accommodate the trany oil cooler... So it's before the oem cooler (in that way you limit the amount of heat entering to the radiator). Living in eternal tropic with good back roads and outstanding traffic jams, track maybe one time per month.

If you need the trany oil cooler you would also need the brake cooling ducts.
