BRZ exhaust system research - Portland, OR

Hi! I just got a 2016 BRZ and am totally overwhelmed at the options for exhaust. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust on your car? Thoughts on a quiet, clean sounding one? Would anyone be willing to meet so I can actually hear the exhaust in person? Thank you for any help!!

I believe the only truly quiet one is the invidia q300

Depends on what you considered quite... And plus everybody has different taste as far as exhaust notes.

For example, my first exhaust was the invidia q300, i loved the looks and style of the exhaust but it was very quite, maybe just a bit louder than stock but not by much. If you want an exhaust that you dont have to hear inside the cabin but still sound good on the outside (kind of), the q300 is a good option

I currently have the invidia n1 and i love it, the sound is deep and adds nice exhaust notes (not rice) when shifting/downshifting. It is loud and you can hear it from inside the cabin, but i love it, it makes the driving much fun IMO. A lot of people like the N1 because is affordable and quality is great. However, my neighbor hate me because they can hear when i turn on the car in the morning, but i dont care.

Then you've never heard the STI Performance one, makes the Q300 sound rice. But then Invidia pricing and quality is quite good.

Since you're in Portland, go to the sykart meet on the first thursday of the month! A lot of guys have aftermarket exhausts that you can hear. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103388

You are correct, I have not heard the Sti performance one

Greddy Supreme SP is also pretty quiet.

Wish we had a solution for you. Our muffler keeps getting "ocean waves" during the last segment of welding... a bit more time and maybe we can help.

In the meantime, the Q300 and Blitz are very good options for quiet mufflers.

When you are ready to test it with your Type A350 and front pipe let me know

Mine is disappointingly quiet. Cold start is loud but as soon as it's in gear you can barely hear it. I was pretty disappointed when I installed it. I don't have a decibel measurement but that's my anecdotal evidence
