FRS damaged during test drive :(

Saw this post on reddit, looks like this FR-S didn't even have a title before it got it's first damage.

tripjammer 06-30-2012 09:57 PM

Damn taken out at a stop light on a test drive? That sucks!

mezdup 06-30-2012 09:58 PM

well to be fair, the guy had no business driving on a go kart track.

Slant 06-30-2012 10:28 PM

Officer: "What were you thinking lady??"

Lady: "Uh, you see, my Ben & Jerry was melting and it was about to dirty up my pretty dress so I uh, lifted the cone up to lick off the dripping cone and the fool in that orange car slammed on the brakes. Really, not my fault officer."

chate 06-30-2012 10:30 PM

ouch, maybe buyer can get a discount?

Snoopyalien24 06-30-2012 10:33 PM

Look around....... Sees mountains

phew not Florida

fistpoint 06-30-2012 10:40 PM

Sad part is that it will be fixed and sold as new most likely.

RRnold 06-30-2012 10:42 PM

Definitely CA. Some people have the worst luck with the FR-S! :bs:

No worries...the folks here in VA keep trying to tell me they have mountains here too. Originally from Colorado, so I keep telling them those are foothills and I still can't find the mountains behind them.

Bristecom 06-30-2012 11:37 PM

What the doobie is that thing that ran into it? A custom over sized go kart? I wonder if the brakes failed on it. It probably wasn't road legal either so the owner is gonna be screwed.

I swear that was my first thought too LOL

Stevieray 07-01-2012 02:02 AM

$3.93 a gallon for unleaded regular, has to be California. $$$$$

Skyhound 07-01-2012 02:29 AM

Good to know I wasn't the only one who noticed the gas prices. That's the real tragedy here.

roddy 07-01-2012 03:05 AM

I wish I paid $3.93.

Neilus 07-01-2012 08:27 AM

Just looking at the frs, the sales guy still has a giant sticker on the window...how can he see properly out of the car with that on??

Still not going to help the lady driving up the back of him......

Xauterus 07-01-2012 08:35 AM

How do you know who was driving? That woman might be just an onlooker? I was looking at the seat position in that manx buggy, looks to be mounted at a funky angle.

lol yea I was thinking why would she be eating an ice cream cone if she just rear ended someone. O_o

Double4Free 07-01-2012 11:17 AM

That salesmen looks sleezy...

eifer 07-01-2012 12:08 PM

Yeah looks like ca. Making me nervous since I live in San diego lol

FRiSson 07-01-2012 12:08 PM

That's the problem with California, those crappy old cars last forever - and remain road hazards. In New England, the salt and snow has a way of "retiring" older vehicles - especially VW's.

Haha, funny you say that... I was thinking when the heck was the last time I saw one of those old Mitsu / Dodge Colts in the background??? Must have been the late 80's.

seannyice81 07-01-2012 12:27 PM

Only in California would anyone still be driving a Plymouth Colt.

F1point4 07-01-2012 01:41 PM

Power of the internet (google)

This accident occurred in front of:

Mobil
10570 Riverside Drive
North Hollywood, CA 91602

(818) 761-5836

They were going westbound on Riverside Dr.

PS. It's bloody creepy what you can find with a few pieces of information from a picture.

xrs 07-01-2012 02:26 PM

They sure don't build cars like they used to that fo sho. Look at the tractor, not a sign it's been in an accident. Look at the FRS...looks like a truck rear ended it. LOL.

Seconds after this picture was taken:

Officer: "Put down the cone, and put your hands up where I can see them!"

Lady: Wolfs down the cone in the attempt to hide the evidence.

Officer: Tackles Lady

Lady: Struggles

Officer: Tazers Lady through the pretty dress

Salesman: Spins his head whipping his pretty shiny hair in the air and witnesses everything

86design 07-01-2012 02:33 PM

Ouch :(

Not to be picky (OK, I am being, but I'm a huge HB cartoon nerd), the driver is Tinker, not Shaggy. Shaggy was a whole different character!

Here's a shot where they are in the same place at the same time.

haha my version:

the woman is just trying to walk across the street. Driver of the buggy is in the back seat of the police car. :)

Officer: "Ma'am, you can't cross here. In fact, back away please. What we have here is a collision between an old 70's vehicle and some kind of advanced prototype from the future. I'm not sure but an explosion might be imminent."

and wtf is that on the ground by the FR-S? Is it a whiteboard?!

naticedog04 07-01-2012 04:05 PM

Bad drivers are everywhere, its bound to happen sooner or later, CA might have the most accidents right now, but there will be others in other states...to OP hope ur able to get a discount...;)
