Emich track day at HPR April 10th
FYI, I'll be at Emich's track day at High Plains Raceway April 10th. If you want more info check out this website
It's about as cheap as you'll find and there may be some instruction available. I know of at least one other forum member that will be there, too. |
I've never been to a track day. What's it all about? Sorry for the stupid noob questions.

1. Ensure your car is in good working order with plenty of brake pad and tire
2. Sign waiver 3. Pay money 4. Keep ego in check 5. Have the time of your life driving around a race track as fast as you can Also, this. |

You also need a Helmet and MUST attend one of the Drivers safety meetings.
On Open Track Days they usually have two meetings per day - one in the morning and one around noon for the half-day people. Another way for people in this area to get some track time and driving instruction is to check out Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing rmvr.com. They have a driver's school coming up at PPIR on April 23-24 that has two classes. The competition class for those that have (or intend to have) a vintage race car. Th Performance class is for those that want to learn but dont have a vintage car. You can bring your street car for either class. Some people use rentals. http://rmvr.com/video-rmvrs-spring-drivers-school/ You can see me in that video a few times in my Bright Green Porsche 914. http://rmvr.com/robby-unser-at-drivers-school/ |
