Does the BRZ get same refresh?

I just read the article about FRS becoming GT-86. http://www.autoblog.com/2016/03/17/2...york-official/
Does that mean the BRZ will get the same refresh as the 86? Like all the "go fast" parts . Just so we are all clear I'm not talking about exterior (IMO the toyota refresh now kind of looks like the BRZ). I wouldn't mind having hill assist on my car since I still get nervous on hills.

Hey, guys, how about a factory UEL header so that torque dip will go away.

I heard the 2018 BRZ sti is going to get AWD and have a hybird turbo that makes 300hp and still gets good gas milage. This is coming from a close source to subaru so it must be legit.

Maybe. We might know a little more after the New York Auto Show, although the big news there will be the unveiling of the new Impreza.

Another? The last refresh was for the 2012 model year. It's been almost the normal amount of time for Subaru.

They will refresh both cars at the same time. It would be more work for the Subaru factory to have to build both new and old style engines and components when they can just build refreshed cars alongside each other.

No 5HP for you ahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha #FRSMASTERRACE #FRS>BRZ

Amazing jokes aside, aren't they still made in the same factory for the most part? I would assume these changes would be made universally before they even get to putting a badge on them.

Here's hoping Subaru doesn't f#$% up the facelift the way Toyota has managed to.

If they do a good job the ratio of BRZ to 86 sales is going to shift dramatically in favour of the former.

Inspiration for the new BRZ front bumper.
