Quoting for dummies
Not sure if this is common knowledge but I figured maybe it would be helpful if placed where practically everybody should read it in here. Save us all some time in scrolling here through redundant pictures.
So you want to reply to somebody. Now this person has also posted a picture or many pictures along with their text that you have a question about. DO NOT QUOTE THE PICTURES. Here is how. 3 easy steps 1. Select the "quote" button. Page refreshes with which ever post you quoted and will appear like below. This is a from Exampleguy and he posted a picture of his poop that you want to compliment him on. [ QUOTE=Exampleguy;555555] This is the text, leave this.
2. Now select the red text(*sorry if you are red colorblind) and delete that. That will remove the picture or pile of pictures that are not needed to be posted once again. 3. Write your reply and then press "submit reply". They will be notified and if the question is about the picture that was posted along with their text, they will figure it out. *Note: Now if you are just quoting them about the picture/s and how nice/bad they are and they didn't write any text, just do a private message unless you are making sure the public knows how you feel about said picture and not just the owner of said picture like a private message would. Hint, we don't care. LEARN THIS! |
Good point!
However, I wished you would have put "dummies" in quotes ........ why? ..... because of "dummies" ...........:D humfrz |
