What's your mileage!?

I'm new to the 86, but I was proud of my WRX having 130k with all the mods even, my Saab was nearing 200k... both got wrecked by other drivers. I can imagine I would have put lots more on if it wasn't for the humans. I know these are relatively new cars but the 2013s are nearing 3 years now and these threads are fun anyway so once in awhile stop in and let us know....

What's your odometer mileage!?

18 months. Around 65K. Way down from my normal 45 to 50 K a year due to one plant shut down for 4 months.

Are you running your Twin as a company car?

p1l0t 03-15-2016 10:19 AM

Oh my bad, I googled and tapatalk searched mileage and nothing came up. I won't be offended if this gets locked.

Sort of. My main and second plant are 45 minutes from home and I do not get paid to drive to those. Two of my plants are 2 hours away from home. I travel there about twice a week. When I go to those ones I do get mileage. My average mileage payment comes to about $18K a year. Since gas and upkeep barely touch that I get my cay paid for in about 2 1/2 years. Sure I get nothing for them at trade in time but I technically get to drive them for free for 2 or 3 years.

I am offended by the fact you presume everybody should be offended by your offensive statement about people being offended.

How much are they paying you for mileage? I only get .31 cent per mile and thats only after 32 miles into my commute. I end up with only $3k yearly but I only drive 90 miles daily.

No tax relief? I suppose the plus points outweigh the negatives as you get to drive a car that you enjoy and more importantly your choice.

I get .48 per mile but that is for Canadian gas prices and costs which are more than yours (not due to exchange but in expense vs income here). I also get paid the full distance.

No, no tax relief for the car but the mileage payments are not taxable so I come out better in the end anyway.

My last job was 1 1/2 commute and I didn't get a cent in mileage. I put almost as many miles on my car then as I do now and didn't get a penny back so this is a huge plus no matter how you look at it. Not to mention I also get to buy a brand new car every 4 or 5 years and the wife can't say shit about it.

My wife positively encourages my interest in cars although she has zero interest.

So does mine but that does not mean she supports a new car every 4 years.

Trust86 03-15-2016 01:03 PM

It would be pretty badass if we had an odometer for our p*nis

My wife did not and wanted me not to. "It's just a car" currently going through a divorce. Not even joking.

This is my problem with alot of people, not just women. If you care about someone and truely wish happiness for them, encourage them to do what their heart desires. What they are passionate about. Dont use your own logic to find the blandness in anyones passion, dream, whatever. Always support them and encourage them. This is where I think alot of our (mine) younger generation is lacking. Including my ex girlfriend lol

My wife loves performance cars. She can drive the shit out of a manual which is why I was able to buy a manual with no guilt. She's always bragging about her miata she had and compares the FRS to it. Guy in our neighborhood had to get auto FRS because of his wife. To bad

JoshD16FRS 03-26-2016 09:04 AM

Only 1560km!

ZionsWrath 03-31-2016 08:03 PM

Just turned over 40,000 on my 2013. Last 2 years only weekend drive/track it though.

Feels like a lot of miles considering my daily has 135,000 and is a 2003.

:burnrubber:

xmadror 03-31-2016 09:24 PM

2 years in a 2-3 weeks and 19k Km (11.8k miles)
