Have an ORC309 on my 20v ae86. Great clutch/flywheel combo plus with the current exchange rate I got it for around 650 shipped from Japan brand new. Cons, not the most street friendly clutch plus it sounds like you have marbles rattling around inside your transmission when the clutch is disengaged.

You won't seen any noticeable change in hp and torque if you put it on a dyno. What your friend probably meant is that lighter clutch/flywheel has less inertia so it stores less energy, what that translates into is it will be easier to stall starting from first gear or starting on a hill, this applies to any lighter flywheel. The benefit is that the engine rpms can go up faster, so getting into the powerband quicker, and allows for quicker shifts because rpms drop faster, just makes the engine seem more responsive in general. Another plus about the ORC being a strapless clutch, each wear component is serviceable separately.
