Weird Clutch feedback?

Hey guys, I'm having some weird clutch feedback and I'm wondering if others have experienced something similar.

I came across many clutch related posts here but none describe my current situation.

It's difficult to describe, but I occasionally get some weird clutch feedback when upshifting as I take my foot off the clutch. The clutch pedal feels sort of like it's scuffing/rubbing/causing friction on something as I take off my foot, and its accompanied by a sound, that i can only describe as "rough friction" for a split second.

This only happens between 3-5k rpm when shifting from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th, and it doesn't seem happen every time. I heard and felt it about twice today on my 10 mile trip. I haven't tried shifting above 5k rpm yet to see if it happens higher in the rpm range. The car is stock except for the clutch spring removal mod. Car has 14k miles and its 2014.

Thanks for any help.

hmmmm..........you might try putting the clutch spring back in place, to see if that makes a difference.

well the clutch spring has been off for over a year without any problems, but I'll try replacing it and see if there's a difference

I don't understand why people remove the clutch spring to begin with. Not saying it's your issue, just an observation. It could be needing a clutch adjustment

Edit:nvm I just noticed 14k miles, hell it could just be the clutch getting warm and mating to the flywheel

A couple of zip ties should do the trick.
