ride in a supercharged 86?

Howdy,

Anyone in Portland willing to give a short ride in their Edelbrock or Jackson supercharged 86? A local guy gave me a ride in his HKS v3 modded 86 and I wanted to compare. Pm me if you're willing.

Cheers,

Budo

I want to say the only guy that has the JRSC is a guy that lives in Salem.

JR is going to feel identical to HKS, don't think anyone local has an edelbrock.

If you'd like a ride in a Sprintex 210 with 70mm pulley, I could help with that. It will be more power than the Edlebrock is in with the pulley it comes with.

We could meet somewhere in the middle of PDX and Salem?

I will take you up on your offers, both Jmonty and Stockysnail! I'll pm you with my info and we'll see what's what.

Cheers,

Budo

Supercharger (twin screw) to have lots of torque down low where you usually drive the car vs turbo and centrifugal superchargers which you need to build boost so full boost doesn't come until after the typical rpm range you drive daily in. You'll get a whine noise when on throttle (twin screw) vs a whoosh noise when initially coming off throttle (turbo).

You'll be able to get more HP with a turbo however as they are more efficient since they recycle exhaust into more air instead of relying only on intake air from outside.

I want a ride if you don't mind someday, I'm aiming towards twin screw cause im hardly in the high rpm's and I love Torque

Sure. Whenever you'd in the Portland area or when I'm up there for the big 86 event this year I'll give you a ride.
