Warranty and Self-Maintainance?
 

Hey everyone -

What's Subarus deal when it comes to oil changes @ home? Will this void warranty? I'm looking to change my oil tomorrow and wanted to know how that would effect my warranty and if I need receipts or...?

Also, what about Gear Oil flushes?

1) Always keep receipts of supplies purchased/parts used (make sure they are oem or suitable equivalents)
2) Keep a detailed log of when you performed the maintenance
3) Perform services at the specified time/mileage intervals (early is even better)

= No problems

just bring the proper oil and let them do the job, save yourself some hassel. I am a tech and that's what I will do too. On my previous RSX I bring my car out for oil change too, but when I need something warranty, the dealer is happy to do it for me.
