How hard do you drive your car

Scale 1-10 1 being a garage queen, and 10 driving it balls to the wall 100% of the time.

Hey guys, I thought I would put up a poll to see how hard the average enthusiast on here drives their FRS/BRZ. I am curious to see if more of us drive it hard like me or if most of you guys baby your cars haha.

1 - Driven around the block once a week or less.

2 - Shifting occurs at less than 2500 RPM for up & downshifts; no rev-matching, no spirited drives.

3 - Recommended Break-In Period Driving, max 3,999 RPM, including downshifts if any. 9.5/10 shifts between 2000-3000. No-spirited drives.

4 - 9/10 Shifts between 2000-3000 RPM, max 5000 RPM; occasional hard pull onto freeway or to overtake. No spirited drives, heel-toe or rev-matched downshifts.

5 - Commuting RPM ranges between 2000-3500, max 5500 RPM. Occasionally cruises 3rd or 4th gear at 3000 RPM in city or curvy backroads. Sometimes takes a corner hard.

6 - Commuting RPM ranges between 2000-4000 RPM, max 6000 RPM. Occasional rev-matched & heel-toe downshifts, takes most turns hard, 1 or 2 spirited drives on twisties cruising in 3500-4500 RPM a month, no redline, no track time.

7- Commuting RPM ranges between 2000-5000 RPM, mentally maxed 6500 RPM, rarely redline. Rev-matches or heel-toes most downshifts. Spirited RPM ranges 3000-6000 RPM, max 7400 RPM. Has been to a track before.

8- Commuting RPM ranges between 2000-6000 RPM, occasional redline. Downshifts into 4500-6000 RPM occasionally. Always takes corners as hard as legally possible. Spirited RPMs mostly cruising 4000-5000 RPM and hits redline on the straights or out a tight hairpin. Sees moderate amount of track time, and the car modifications show it.

9- Commuting RPM ranges full RPM-range for both upshifts & downshifts. Spirited drives ranges full RPM-Range mostly cruising between 5000-7000 RPM. Car modifications may show extensive time at the track, unless you're on a budget or keeping it subtle.

10 - Fully-committed track car, occasional daily commuting if needed.

Generally i beat on it a moderate amount every time i drive it. This usually just means chucking it into corners that are open, and revving it out a bit. I doubt this car will have reliability issues with the lower power output, even if you do beat on it a bit.

I'm a 6 to 7 guy. Nothing outrageous but I'll blast some twisties to death

MokSpeed 03-01-2016 10:42 AM

I'd say I'm not too aggressive of a driver. I'll stay in vacuum most of the time. Occasionally I floor it on the freeway when I'm cruising or another unsuspecting car pulls ups to me. Of course any kind of twisties are irresistible as well. :D

Yeah so far I have had 0 issues with mine. I think people blow the whole reliability thing out of proportion because no one ever posts things like "my car is running great" or "wow what a good engine", its always when people have issue they post about it hahaha.

7/8 I Drive it like I stole it! Not a drive goes by that I dont hit redline once or twice, or have the rear end swing out. :D

Never even drove the car. It just sits in my air conditioned garage where my butler wipes down the car to avoid dust. It will surely be a collector's item in the future and worth so much more than I paid for it, especially now that Scion is gone. /s

Considering I just got my car yesterday, I'm going with about a 3. I did take it down a windy mountain road though on the way into work though. ..

I'm going to lean on the upper end....simply due to having to wring out the motor for any kind of fun.

I drive gentle on the straights, but when i will aproach a turn i try to take it as fast possible.

Because Racecar.

I voted 8 because although I do beat on it at the track, I drive at about 5 the remainder of the time. :burnrubber:
