Tanabe GF210 Springs for FR-S/BRZ
 

Through Tanabe USA's R&D page. Doesn't specify when they will be available. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these springs? I read a wee bit on NASIOC where what's been said is that they're good quality and won't kill your struts (the one thing I believe most of us thinking about putting springs on are concerned about).

we sell tanabe and their GF springs are defiantly their best in my opinion. They should have some good specs but truthfully we're waiting for Swift Springs to release their springs

Just checked out their page. Their spring design seems to be pretty unique for the industry. How do their sports springs do with stock struts being that they have less coil and what seems more compliance as a result?? From the sound of it they look to be a pretty ideal option for someone like myself looking to install aftermarket lowering springs.

Swift Springs are one of the few springs I recommend to use with stock struts. They are huge in the 370Z market:

we've actually sold about 200 370Z spring since they were released two years ago haha, so I'd say a lot of our customers are happy.

I have no exact specs on the new springs for the FR-S but I know they like to maximize performance and durability with the oem struts. We've had a lot of older customers get from 60-80 K from Swift springs on stock struts. We'll definitely keep you guys posted

do you have anything to say for Tanabe's springs impact on stock strut longevity?

I have them on my rx8, they're good. I prefer Swift.

what happend to the BRZ dude? I'm seeing FR-S in your "Drives", or is that the shop car?? another vote cast for swift.

the blue FR-S belongs to one of the shop owners. I've decided i'll be getting an FRS rather than doing the brz/frs conversion. Then i'll just swap in the center console. Casey is still on the fence.

The Tanabe GF are real good for performance but their NF line is better for strut longevity. I'm not sure if they will be releasing an NF for the FR-S though. I'd rank it like this (in terms of least longevity for oe struts to most):

Tanabe GF210
Swift Springs
Tanabe NF210

this doesn't mean you'll get nothing out of the GF210 haha, just that if I were to compare the 3

as you can see its not that huge of a drop, the NF is meant to be a spring drop that maximizes comfort and longevity of oem struts. That usually means its not a huge drop and the spring rates are very conservative.

looks good though. probably doesn't do much to sharpen handling.

That is my car on tanabe's website for rd...the gf210 springs give a small drop. Tho they also put on tower bars and sway bars, I feel the car like its on rails. Less body roll compared to before.the ride is similar to stock. Just alil firmer since the spring rates are higher. For daily driving its good and for track I heard gf210 are the best in tanabes.
