Basic Bespoke upgrade unit?

I've gotten to the point where I'm sick and tired of my BeSpoke unit after 3 years. My main gripe is the shuffle algorithm, IT DOESN'T SHUFFLE! I'm hearing the same order of songs when I start up the car again.

Looking for a cheap upgrade with the same features but able to play video files, and album art.

You could always upgrade it with navigation and entune:

It's noticeably better than bespoke and it can all be done for well under $200-$300

I have the Navi unit... the only downfall I notice is that bluetooth takes like 30 seconds to sync instead of like 10 seconds like before.

The map itself is kinda eh... It's nice to have but not a must have thing.

Why don't you use an App like Pandora or Google Music and have it auto shuffle for you?

In general I think Toyota OEM stuff kinda sucks ass, at least in that era of 2012-2015 reused head unit design, I don't know how the 2016 head units perform but they're probably better. My 2014 rogue and 2016 CX-5 are literally the best head units I've used, no lag, user update-able free maps for 3 years of owning the car, the firmware is update-able by the user, traffic over Bluetooth that's instant and doesn't lag behind and auto reroute based on that data, tactile feedback on touches super user friendly. But this pioneer unit is quite laggy some times other times the interface sucks, but that's not why I bought this car for

Kind of looking for a different unit altogether for around $250. Was checking out the Pioneer AVH series but reviews say they die out quick.

I don't mind the bluetooth taking that long, I really only use it to take or make calls while I'm driving.

Pandora doesn't have specific music that I listen to (asian, when I'm feeling the mood) and I don't want to fiddle around with my phone while I'm driving. Puts me in a bad mood when someone tries to have a full text conversation with me when they know I'm driving.

There aren't much options really. If you change the head unit, your aux, mic, and USB won't work in the car anymore. You might need to rewire or add those ports.

AUX and USB can still work with a simple plug for aftermarket head units, microphone I'm not sure anyone on the market has that working yet. Also re-pinning the connector is required on most head units to get the OEM amplifier to work and the door speakers to kick on otherwise you get crappy sound output.
