OFT Noob Questions
Over the weekend I installed a Grimmspeed intake and did a full exhaust with catless uel headers, but a high flow cat in the front pipe.
I got an OFT to go with it all, and tuned the car to the Stage 2 UEL 91 octane tune. Today I was driving around doing some datalogging and my AFR is all over the place. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't put a lot of miles on since I did everything, or if it's the grimmspeed intake. I know that there's a specific stage 1 tune for a grimmspeed intake, but the only one i can find is a couple of years old, not to mention that I'm looking for a stage 2 tune. I tried searching the forums for solutions, but all I've found has been people saying Shiv had emailed them a custom file. Does anyone know what my options are going forward? And here are my datalogs, I've no idea what I'm looking at haha. One with just calm daily driving: http://datazap.me/u/chloroformkjm/da...g?log=0&data=1 One with more aggressive pulls at the end: http://datazap.me/u/chloroformkjm/ag...g?log=0&data=1 Thanks for all the help, I'm completely new to tuning lol |

the maf scaling required by the grimspeed intake is very of close to stock intake so very little to be gained by tuning for it |

So what I gathered from your ecu logging thread, having my afr spike to 20 when i'm off the throttle is normal, and when I'm on the throttle it should be anywhere from like 13-15? |

on throttle 14.7 down to about 11.8 wode open throttle at 7000 |

can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong here most especially the highlighted rows which is when I hit 2nd gear it feels like it bogs for a second and then smoothens out as rpm or speed picks up. I'm a total noob sorry.
BTW I have a 2016 Scion FR-S (purchased in October 2015) i'm running a drop-in filter, UEL header, and catback exhaust on stage 2 91 tune. |

you have not rearly logged correct parameters ie no knock related parameters see link below on basic logging. From what i can see it likely to to the load limits set in some usa tunes they were set to 1.6 at all rpm instead of a gradual rise from 0.8 at low rpm to 1.4 at higher rpm this can cause car to run too rich at low rpm if you jump on the throttle fix is to set load limits as below by editing tune using romraider see links below and waynos guides http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83945 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1446531019 |
@steve99 btw, I am not getting any MAF voltage readings with the OFT it just reads 0.00v. Any idea why? I am running the latest OFT update and tune v2.074 off openflash website.

http://www.datazap.me/u/dru670/log-1...-12&zoom=54-59 Do you see anything unusual? This is rolling from 1st gear and then into 2nd gear about 80% throttle when I feel that hesitation for a sec and then power picks up. Same thing happens in other gears when I WOT at low rpm (between 2k-3k) BTW, flash back to OEM still same result. I just remembered that I had this going on before I had all these performance upgrades so I guess It's a normal thing for my car as you mentioned. |
Here is another run to replicating it.

I cannot acces those logs did you select public ?
if your car was playing up before tune or mods its probably not related to that.Is you intake stock ? If the mafv is not reading its an oft logging problem you will need to advise the oft guys it will effect all on that rom calid |

Also forgot to mention this bog/hesitation happens with or wothout all the traction controls disabled.
|
Have you checked the load limits?

can see it here, ignition timing goes to zero and it goes lean is the k&n drop in filter oiled, if so some oil may have got on maf, try cleaning maf with maf cleaner best to eliminate any mechanical issues or air leaks ect before looking at tune http://www.datazap.me/u/dru670/log-1...rk=59-58-61-57 |
