exhaust drone

hey guys right now i have borla uel v2 header, motiv HFC front pipe and invidia N1, and everytime when i declaration from 4k rpm it has a lot of drone, before i have borla cat back and it is sounds great but high rpm just too quiet, i love my invidia at high rpm but DD is too much drone.

my question is what kind of cat back is no drone at low rpm and loud at high rpm? and also does UEL make sound quiet at high rpm? before i have tomei EL but i fogot what sound like..... and also does catless or catted front pipe affect sound?

thanks, guys

You should have kept your Borla catback and just put a catless front pipe on prolly would have got what you were looking for, yes the catted front pipe affects sound.

Greddy SP AB
Motiv HFC front pipe
Motiv OP
Tomei UEL

My setup no drone at any rpm, and gets louder through the rev range doesn't quiet down up top close to redline. Even with my stock front pipe same sound just with the volume turned down. Just keep messing with different combos, I've had so many setups on this car already but this one I actually like at the moment.

N1 is notorious for sounding shitty always. That's your problem.

I run evasive single exhaust great setup and no done. I was coming from tomei 80 and drone and rasp it was awful with not cat setup. It was stupid loud to.

With a helmholtz resonated midpipe mine sounded very nice. It was coupled with a revworks UEL and PLM overpipe. Sound is subjective however, and I did end up removing the N1 due to being too loud.

I do miss the sound, the boxer rumble/thump was strong with that exhaust.

I recommend selling the N1 exhaust. I had it before and I sold it once I got tired of the droning.
The N1 is popular enough that I don't think you'd have too many problems selling it locally.
I replaced mine with a Perrin resonated one and am pretty happy with it so far
