I suspect that you haven't spent much time behind the wheel of a NC or ND Miata (the newer ones). The car is designed so that the wind noise is at a minimum. I found that after 88,000 miles driving my NC, as long as you keep moving, you can drive through most rain showers, without getting wet. If and when you stop, putting the top up is a 2 second operation from sitting in the drivers seat.

The bugs and birds just can't keep up ...... :D

Yep, for you Ultramaroon, to be comfortable you would have to take out the passenger seat, the rear compartment that houses the top and the trunk.

Then YOU would fit ......

Lucky me I've never ate bugs or poop while driving or riding in a convertible. I've ate more bugs while riding my bicycle during the evening hours than anything.

So I guess the Miata RF isn't a good choice then since it's a targa? But it's a Miata that I can finally fit inside comfortably.

BTW I think the BRZ actually sits lower than the ND?

Took a junebug to the forehead at 80MPH once. Had a welt for weeks.

For those of you that don't know what those are they at big and very very hard shelled beetles.

Should I use the red, or blue Loctite?

Red is more sticky and requires lots of heating up to get off, blue is pretty much to stop the bolt/screw from unthreading due to vibration.

So, I reckon a touring road bike was not in your stable of vehicles ..... :D
