Why go with SBD over the other kits?

Just curious is all.

Cant answer for way1 but I would say:

It's the Greddy kit with a bigger turbo. Guys are making a ton of power on it. And it costs 1/3 to 1/2 the clst of other kits.

Was next to a black Focus RS this morning on the way to work. They must have starting modding that thing the instant they got it as it already had a giant front mount in the bottom grill opening.

Oil cooler lol. Was it gold like Go's?

Say, the last time I got an alignment my "final settings"paper started that my front camber was different left to right by .3 iirc. It was something like left -3.3 right -3.6. This seemed to be a big difference to me but I figured they couldn't get it dialed in because of the way the camber plates work(tapped it to far one way then too far back eventually giving up). Should I get camber bolts for an easier "fine tuning" or would that somehow be detrimental to the car?

pretty sure it was an intercooler. It filled up the entire lower middle grill. I googled the stock RS once I got in to make sure it wasn't stock. on the stock one the radiator is visible in the lower grill with nothing else in front of it.

Like finch said its a greddy kit with a larger turbo and the price is hard to beat. With a few small modifications I am going to aim for 320WHP on 94 pump gas. Only problem is when I do build the engine I will need to sell the kit in favor of a larger turbo as I am not sure its really worth upgrading the turbo on the SBD kit. It also checks all the boxes being reliable and oil cooled for me. sure its not fancy but it works.

I'm thinking Z line height since it looked like the end caps were tapering off barely above the grill area. No branding though and not gold. I spent a lot more time looking at it than I should have while driving :bonk:

I just looked at mishimoto's universal intercoolers and those things are cheap enough that you could just buy and mount a non functioning one for the lolz/look. Definitely turboed bro just don't look under the hood.

LMFAO you so could!! I wish they made one I could fit with the SBD kit. They also come in silver and black and only 1 side has the logo so you can just have the non logo side facing forward to mess with people like you

I would definitely love to convert from the SBD style IC to the shorter and wider black mishi IC mounted backwards purely for the stealthy look but then I have to find a new spot for the oil cooler since right now it fits nicely next to the SBD IC. I haven't gone full "Because Racecar" yet so I don't want to remove the fog lights and mount it behind one of those.
