Will staggered affect VSC?

Hi guys!

I am wanting to know if anyone has ever had any issues with the nannies, having a staggered set up, with different tyre sizes front to back.

I currently have 225/40/18 on the front and 245/35/18 on the rear. The rolling diameter of these are pretty close and have never had an issue.

But I need new tyres, and was thinking of increasing the width on the front to 235/40/18. My concern is that would be about 3% difference, and the VSC may take this as slippage at times and cut in.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this?

Cheers- Mitch. :)

My Tires are staggered width wise but not height. I have 245 on the front and 265 on the back and have not had a issue.

If the tire diameters are the same, or VERY close, no.

3% difference is probably fine

Thanks! What width are your wheels? and I guess profile 35?

I have 9" kojins. The 265 are the max size that would fit on them. Like I mentioned each tire manufacture is a little bit different. 45mm offset.

did you have updates on this? Was 3% difference ok for the computer? I am considering running 4.75% difference and would like to know as well.
