Nice to meet you.

Good evening from Florida. My name is AJ and I am relatively new to the 86 platform and forums in general. My love of cars is a new love and one that I stumbled upon completely by accident. It all started with a change in circumstances and the need to make some personal choices.

My son was born a happy healthy young boy. Later, we found that due to some minor complications during his birth he was going to need lots and lots of therapy to overcome some neurological issues. My wife and I made the choice to simplify everything to insure our new baby boy got all the help he needed. One of the choices was to sell my newer car and get into something with no payments. My only request, was that if the vehicle was going to be older, I wanted something fun to drive.

I drove my 1991 Nissan 240 SX for about a year and half until I got a new job which required lots of travel. After driving a SR swapped 240, I found myself wanting something sporty, fun, efficient and did I mention fun. The FR-S fit the bill perfectly and in late 2015 I became the owner of a used 2013 FR-S. The car had about 19,000 miles and is by far the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned.

I look forward to learning from you and getting to know you all.

Thanks for having me.
AJ

Hello @seito23 and welcome to our forum ......:)

I hope your son is doing well.

Congratulations on your ownership of an FR-S.

There is lots of good information on this site and there are several people who are willing to answer questions.

Hint - most all questions have been asked and answered before, so I suggest you do a search first. If you can't get it sorted out, just fire away.

Hi Seit
A good place to look for some basics is in here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96158 As Hum pointed out many questions have been asked already. Oh and the manual is a wealth of info but if your used car didn't have one there is an electronic copy in the link.

@Ultramaroon I couldn't agree more. My favorite part of my day is the on and off ramps for the interstate.
@krs-86- very soon my friend.
@Tcoat - thanks again for the good info.

Ok since we established that you don't have Tourette's, I will kindly ask you to leave.

Welcome seito23! Glad to hear you're enjoying the 86 platform! You'll def learn a lot here, since I have, but if you do stumble upon something you can't answer, let us know (But search first or else some of the members here will tickle you for it lol).

Best wishes to your family and especially your son, it will pay off later! :D
