Fuel trims are f***** up

Hey guys,

i have been working on scaling my MAF due to the injen intake that i have installed. as ive been logging ive noticed stft's and ltft's as high as -19% during highway driving and higher than -20% on just basic idle. I have no clue as to why this is happening. I used @vgi utility to scale and loaded up that scale yet my trims are still fucked. Any advice? what the fuck should i do lmao.

1. Take intake off and throw in bin.
2. Don't mistake me as joking.

If you've used one tool a total of one time, you've probably gone backwards btw.

Everyone has told me that😂. I will definitely. Do that. Metal tubing=horrible heat soak?

just sell the intake and get a drop in which has been proven to make gains. now a days oem intake are so well designed that puttin a intake on some platforms have lost power

Yes heat soak. Yes horrible. First run and last run will run so different it will throw all your readings/adjustments off. There was another brand that sold a black metal version of the intake tube and no one speaks of them anymore.

What fuel are you running? e85? any e10/gas in it? From my experience full e85 is on the + side for LTFT, this is for the stage 2 uel e85 oft tune.

I heard an intake mid doesn't require maf scaling on this platform. I dunno, just passing that on

wparsons 02-19-2016 09:44 AM

^^ That totally depends on which intake. Most intakes on this platform absolutely require MAF scaling to be redone.

For the OP... how many logs do you have, and roughly how many minutes (or hours) of driving do they cover? Under what kinds of conditions? You need a solid hour+ of logs to properly redo the MAF scale under various conditions. You'll need some WOT pulls from low RPM to redline, light throttle across a wide RPM range, etc.

Good to know. Thanks for correcting me. I saw you used arrows instead of quote. Do you know how to use the quote function? I didn't for a long time. Just trying to be helpful

Unless your MAF table is realllly off (which is possible, don't know how that intake works), -20% is something I'd expect to see if you're running an E85 tune but 93 gas.

Yup, get a drop-in filter instead and get tuned by Bill at Delicious...things should be much better by then

tskaohu 02-19-2016 10:06 PM

That is my plan. I'm taking my intake out and putting stock back. The. Going delicious ahah

Is your Adv. multiplier staying up at 1?
I only ask because I recently put 87 in my tank because they mis-labeled it and my trims and adv went crazy. Had to revert to a petrol tune.
