The events of an unlucky one.

Earlier today on my way to get dinner, a mini van came head on into my lane. As I tried to avoid a head on collision, I lost control on my car and the back end broke loose too much on the wet surface. My passenger rear wheel went full force into a curb. My ABS and traction sensors are now on. My lower control arms are bent crumbled and effed up. I haven't seen the front suspension yet but I feel like there's some damage there. When I pull up my hand brake, it's tighter than usual... Anyone know a repair shop that a tow truck can take it to so my insurance can HOPEFULLY cover the repairs to what's left of my suspension?

Thanks.

PS I live in Oak harbor

I can't help with a shop or tow but I did something similar to this. Replaced all my suspension arms with adjustable stuff. Your traction is on cuz your wheel speed sensor is trashed

Edit: say... I did this on the driver side but I still have all my passenger side arms if you wanted to buy them for OEM replacement. Let me know and we can work out a deal. Good luck

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad you're OK... good luck with the repairs!

So sorry to hear about what happened, and I'm glad you're alright.

This has always been one of my biggest fears when driving my car - having to swerve or maneuver your car to avoid getting into serious accident because of some awful, drunk, or distracted driver - you avoid the accident, but end up messing up your car in the process, and the idiot that almost hurt you, and caused your need to react in such a manner just goes on driving, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Thankfully for you this is why we have insurance - did you try reporting it to the police at all? Someone driving head-on into your lane of traffic might have been drunk, and if you can get a police report, or make them aware of it, it might get you a break on your insurance. Best of luck to you in getting everything resolved and fixed up - props to you for maneuvering such that all the damage was taken by the vehicle, and you're alright - a head on collision would have been very, very nasty and could have meant your life or lifelong complications, or pain from the incident.

I will see how everything goes. I wasn't able to get a police report but I know my sensors are trashed. I really hope my insurance will cover this incident

Happy to hear you are ok. I'm sure your insurance will cover the damage (that's what it's for), but you will end up paying your deductible.
