Where to get Pro driving lesson?
 

Hey guys! I'm interested in learning to take my car to the limits that wouldn't danger the lives of others. It's been about 1 week since I learned manual on the BRZ that i just got, I think I'm getting better and better at it! But eventually I'd like to get some lessons/advice on how I can improve my stickshift skills, and throttle, steering control to know more about the limits of this car on a track/autox.

Where might I find some pro driving teachers in WA? Thanks!

Also interested, I haven't looked into it but in sure PIR has some options!

I mean I didn't say it to be a **** but one would assume that is where you start your search.


Kind of like if I want professional training/schooling in a specific trade (say masonry) then I would start looking at trade schools for said learning... Am I missing something? because I might be

There's a novice school coming up in a couple of months. Went to one auto-x day last year and was hooked. Couldn't attend more due to work but man, that was fun.

Yeah I am sure it was mike that does this. Honestly I think it would be worth it if you are at that level

Start autocrossing. You can sign up for the Starting Line School, and there's usually an evo school before SCCA National Tour in packwood.

But beyond the schools, you can usually find someone to hop in the car with you and give you some pointers. Also helps to ride in (fast) people's cars and see what they're doing. The most important mod is the driver mod, and that can only be developed with seat time.

Autocross is relatively cheap to start and generally has a welcoming community.

Best bang for your buck would be a practice weekend with essentially unlimited runs and you can swap drivers, cars, passengers, whatever. First one is in 2 weeks: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...4#.VsTy-vkrKUk

. Not close to you, but worth exploring what options you have up in the Seattle area. NWAA also does a practice weekend at Packwood which I'd also highly recommend.

BSCC and NWR SCCA have beginner schools where they will put a seasoned instructor in your car for every run if you'd like.

You will get a ton of seat time for your dollar and you will get a great idea where you can improve as a driver.
