TRD Kit Questions

I am making a new post, but some information I found has been found here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1060499

Hey guys, long story short - I got rear ended and need to replace most of the rear side of the car, and some of the front.

I wanted to put the TRD body kit on but I cant figure out exactly what it is.
I thought they were complete parts, but it seems like they just snap OVER the existing OEM bumpers. Is that how they work?

It seems to me to get the TRD body kits to work you still need to have the OEM bumpers.

My car basically looks like this right now, except mine is red and my dual D-tip TRD exhaust is totally kinked and broken

Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

My goals are to take the damaged body work and replace with TRD body work instead of the OEM body work.

TRD rear is an add-on piece. In fact, you will need to trim the stock bumper to accomdate the wide exhaust cut-outs of the TRD aero lip.

Thanks Joe-G
Do you know if the quad tip TRD exhaust actually fits the stock bumper without cutting it?

no you have to cut

To fit the TRD rear bumper you will need to cut the pre-exsisting bumper in order to get it to fit. The exhaust ports are larger and you will only need to cut around the exhaust housings.

I've been looking for a template as well. I have no issues hacking away at my bumper, but I'd like to have at least some sort of template to use.

I ended up ordering a bunch of parts to my local body shop and he did all the work. Actually no idea if there was a template or not in there.
