Over-enthusiastic? Is it wrong to celebrate the FR-S?

Maybe I'm wrong to post a a thread enthusiastically celebrating the FR-S/BRZ as incredible vehicles, not just relative to similarly priced vehicles, but relative to vehicles costingn2x to 3x as much, but am I really?

Is it somehow irrational or frowned upon here to make such observations?

It happens all the time. You could join in on one of the 20 or so existing threads though. This forum did not just start with your joining you know. Perhaps a read through BEFORE posting would be in order.
You have joined a forum of people that love the car it is really rather redundant to pop up yelling "I love this car who is with me?"

EDIT: For those of you that wonder where this thread came from please see this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=101463&page=2 This is the thread that was being stated as "redundant" since it was the biggest news here for a week.

Alright then.

I will suppress my enthusiasm and try to be a lot more somber in the future.

Maybe I'll ultimately trade my FR-S in for a Corolla or something.

There is nothing wrong with the enthusiasm. It is the delivery that lacks clarity or purpose. Instead of pouting you could always join in the merriment and have some fun.

Don't lose your enthusiasm, you're absolutely right in your statement, it really is a unique car.

I've seen our brothers here tear newbies to pieces, dont take it to heart they're just being friendly in their savage kind of way.

I thought the novelty of driving it would wear off, but so far im getting even more attached to it, the balance of this car is rarely matched with any sports car, when porsches slow on bends im stepping on the gas, says a lot about how much know how has gone into its build

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about your car, but you don't need to make a redundant thread that is preaching to the choir.

I would hereby like to apologize if I went too far in your earlier thread. If you hang around for a bit, you'll definitely get some good information as well as laughs.

Well now, @FRSbestSportCarEver ...... welcome to our fine forum.....

I can appreciate and share your enthusiasm for this fine automobile.

However, your talking to a bunch of guys and gals that have quite a bit of experience driving, racing and modifying this machine.

Many have experience owning and driving several fine sports cars over many years.

For example, before I bought my FR-S, I drove a 06 Miata for the biggest part of 100,000 miles, all over the western US and Canada. I consider them both fine driving machines.

You will find a wealth of information and many exciting mods for your new love, right here on this forum.

Yes, we do have some colorful members and we have a few that are outspoken ....... if they bug you, I suggest you just move around them.

Have a great forum experience .......... :)

Man...I wanna get in on this circle jerk. When I work the stick, it feels extremely rewarding. There's nothing like bangin the gears hard and telling the FR-S what to do.

All sarcasm aside, I did get some goosebumps hitting the back roads today. This car is indeed a ton of fun and always manages to put a smile on my face.

Ok...I just finished and it was a happy ending
